What is this program?
RDO Truck Centers is looking for driven individuals who would like to transition to a new career as a diesel technician. We provide apprentices the opportunity to learn about the dynamic and fast-paced transportation industry while gaining experience in the shop working on equipment. Throughout the program, individuals will work closely with an experienced technician while attending classes to become a well-rounded diesel technician.
Who is qualified?
Candidates with a strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude who have either completed their high school education or earned their GED will be considered for this opportunity. No prior mechanical or transportation industry experience is required.
Program Overview
- Over 3 years, apprentices are paid to work full-time with a technician mentor in our dealership to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Program includes instructional training at a vocational school.
- All tools and equipment needed to succeed are provided by RDO Truck Centers.
- Apprentices receive full benefits.
- Once the program is completed, apprentices will have earned a certificate from the Federal Department of Labor and be ready for a successful career at RDO Truck Centers.
